People got all crazy over this Japanese dessert place when it first opened, and it’s still pretty popular now. Why? EVERYONE LOVES MATCHA!
This place is in the Yongkang area (永康街) with all other delicious restaurants. It has really good matcha desserts including: ice cream, soft serve, tea, latte cake……it also has warabi mochi (わらびもち, 蕨餅), which is not as easy to find in Taiwan.
The food’s fairly good (above average), you can taste the matcha permeating inside your mouth………I’d say the ice cream is better than the cake in terms of matcha. For the Matcha Yuzi Cheesecake, I couldn’t really taste the matcha nor the yuzi (pomelo), it was mostly a normal cheesecake, but I can get better cheesecakes elsewhere. The matcha green tea was straight down normal and even felt kind of diluted
Warabi mochi was good and chewy, and the mochi w/ red bean paste was on par. 🙂 Best choice out of all!
The service, though, I have to say…..was terrible! And I’m not speaking from an one-time experience, because I’ve been there more than once and every time the waitresses tried to get me and my friends out of the place as soon as possible (because there are so few seats). Yes, there’s a 90-minutes limit for dining-in, but your attitude could have been better!! 😡 This place also doesn’t take reservation, so it’s usually a 20-40 minutes wait.
All in all, for those who are thinking of trying this place out: I just wanna put it out there that this place is not as good as it seems (cough cough), haha.

Aug 2015 Update
The service has improved and the wait is now a lot shorter, but the environment still has a lot of space for improvement. If their dessert is an A, then their dining space and atmosphere is a B or B-……Japanese dessert deserves a better place for people to sit and enjoy!
The dessert set I chose to have Matcha Ganache抹茶生巧克力 as my main, Matcha Red Bean Crepe抹茶紅豆可麗餅捲 as side, and Matcha Milk mix抹茶牛奶綜合 for ice cream. For the set it’s the cake price + 100NT, so my Matcha Ganache 160NT + 100 = 260NT in total. I thought the ganache was mediocre but the crepe is pretty novel and ice cream is tasty as usual!
The Matcha latte is 160NT, so somewhat more expensive than the standard cafe price. It definitely has a thick matcha flavor but I would expect a little more layer to it for this price. The warabi mochi side is not bad but can’t be compared to those in Japan. (For some reason I haven’t found satisfactory warabi mochi in Taiwan yet 😦 )
