Finally went to the popular Korean place in my neighborhood –> 黃OPPA. They renovated/opened a new (more family style?) restaurant “Tasty Road”, only one or two stores next to the fried chicken one.
The environment’s nice and clean, playing Korean music and performance on screen~pretty chill.
Appetizers meh…..real Korean restaurants give TONS of stuff for appetizers…
Oh I definitely enjoyed this….年糕鍋（起司口味）
Usually I like Budae Jigae (部隊鍋) because of the cheese they add that adds flavor to the broth and makes it stickier…but I don’t like sausage lol. So this cheese flavored rice cake jigae was perfect for me!
It’s not in the picture but there was a separate bowl of shredded cheese to add….cheese + kimchi broth…YUM!! so good ❤
I thought it was alright…it’s just different from what I remember Kal Bi Tang taste like…but I could be wrong lol…I’m not Korean~what do I know about real kal bi tang T____T
The spicy tteok jigae + cheese (spicy rice cake pot) was good, others were alright. Overall too expensive for me 😦
